InSpireHRV is a wellbeing programme for consumers to release stress using HRV (Heart Rate Variability) biofeedback. The programme involves 10 minute daily training sessions over 6 weeks, with slow paced personalised rates of breathing to maximise HRV and supporting content to help embed powerful new habits. As HRV increases over time, stress is released and the user experiences more energy, focus and resilience, able to recover faster after any stressful event and maintain a positive state of wellbeing.
The app is connected via bluetooth to a consumer CE marked wearable device, used in the fitness sector, to track changes real time changes in HRV. HRV is a good indicator of stress levels in the body and can be influenced positively by slow breathing using the diaphragm, in particular a long exhale, which activates the vagus nerve, the route into the parasympathetic nervous system and its powerful rest and relax response.
